Worthing - About
Worthing (50.8°N, 0.3°W) faces France across the English Channel and lies on the seaward slope of the South Downs - a line of chalk hills running across the SE corner of England. It has a population of almost 100,000 and is the largest town in the county of West Sussex.

Worthing provides an abundance of places to stay. There are numerous hotels, Bed and Breakfast and Guest Houses located along the seafront. There are also a choice of self catering cottages and apartments and caravan holiday parks.
Worthing lies between five miles of coastline and the South. Being the largest town in West Sussex Worthing has a thriving shopping centre with all the major stores expected of a popular resort.

There are numerous activities to try - windsurfing, cycling, tennis, swimming, golf or walking. From May to September there are guided walks, which reveal Worthing's smuggling history, its royal connections and much more.

Worthing is twinned with Le Pays des Olonnes (France) and Elztal region (Germany).
