Goodwood House and Estate

Goodwood House is the ancestral home of the Dukes of Richmond and Gordon, direct descendants of King Charles II. Today, it is still lived in by the present Duke’s son and heir, the Earl of March and Kinrara, with his wife and family.  This is the only house that belonged to a son of Charles II that can be visited.

The art collection is at an international level, with a magnificent collection of English paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries. These include the celebrated and glorious views of London by Canaletto, and magnificent sporting scenes by George Stubbs, England’s most famous animal painter.
