Travel to Sussex by Air

Air

Travel to Sussex By Coach or Bus

Coach and Bus

Travel to Sussex by Road

Road

Sussex is only 90 minutes drive from London. Take the A24/A29 via Horsham or the A23/A27 via Gatwick and Crawley.

If you are traveling from the West or East of England take the A27 from Porstmouth or Newhaven. The A259 connects the coastal resort towns.

Travel to Sussex by Sea

Sea

Travel to Sussex by Train

Rail

Train services run from London Victoria to most destinations in Sussex, which include:-

  • Arundel
  • Chichester.
  • Eastbourne
  • Gatwick Airport
  • Hastings
  • Haywards Heath
  • Lewes
  • Rye
  • The City of Brighton and Hove which comprises of two towns which both have their own stations..
  • Worthing

There is a fast service to the City of Brighton and Hove from London Victoria which only takes approximately 50 minutes. Thameslink services run from London King's Cross and London Bridge to Brighton. Trains from Gatwick Airport approximately take 30 minutes to reach London or Brighton.

 

A non-stop Gatwick Express service runs every 15 minutes between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport.

Victoria Station and Charing Cross provide services to "1066 Country" which includes the historic towns of Hastings, Rye, Battle and Pevensey.

There are frequent train services to Arundel, Bognor Regis and Littlehampton with a journey time of approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes
The Arun Valley train service link the towns of  Littlehampton, Arundel, Amberley, Pulborough, Billingshurst, Horsham, Crawley and Three Bridges to London Victoria.

Regular train services operate along the coast covering towns located between Brighton and  Eastbourne and Brighton and Hastings and towns located between Worthing and Portsmouth.
